This may have coincided with the beginning of this issue. I recently upgraded to Windows 10 version 1709. Paste the key into the empty field and click OK. For NetWorx software, right-click NetWorx icon in the Windows notification area to open the pop-up menu, go to the NetWorx menu item, and then click Enter Licence Key. Upon closing Netscan and restarting the problem recurs.Īlso, I am using the 64 bit version of Netscan on Windows 10 Enterprise 64-bit. Depending on the software product, either open Help menu or About window, and then click Enter Licence Key. I tried deleting the file and went through the same process. The contents of the file do not appear to change. When I use the "Enter License Key." menu option and paste my key in, full functionality is restored, and the timestamp on the netscan.lic file updates to the current time. When I continue on the error, it allows me to load my previously saved scan results, but it is in reduced functionality mode (only first ten scanned items are readable). This Mac application is an intellectual property of SoftPerfect Research. This Mac download was scanned by our antivirus and was rated as clean. The latest installation package occupies 10.2 MB on disk. I did not have this issue with version 7.0. The 2.2 version of WiFi Guard for Mac is available as a free download on our software library. I confirmed that the netscan.lic contains valid-looking xml with the correct license string. I confirmed the netscan.lic file still exists in the same network path as netscan.exe. I am using the portable version of Netscan. Thankfully, these days most wireless networks are pretty secure, with very few still using the vulnerable WEP. Since updating to Netscan 7.1, I have been getting the following message at every Netscan start: "Unable to read config: \\netscan.lic".
